My name is Essi and I'm the owner of this fanlisting. To make an incredibly long and boring story short, I'm a 24-year-old girl from Finland. I'm a Bachelor of Culture and Arts who currently writes film reviews. I've been designing websites for over ten years, it's a very dear hobby of mine.
I love movies, journalism, pop & media culture, House (the TV series), British comedy shows, London, travelling, Garfield and cats. I'm a huge admirer of Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Robert Downey Jr. and Conan O'Brien, to mention a few.
Sleepy Hollow is one of my favourite movies ever. The film has a rich atmosphere and nightmarish, brooding, autumnal imagery only Burton can achieve. One of the film's strengths is definitely its exceptional look, which is jaw-droppingly beautiful.
In addition, Ichabod Crane is one of my favourite characters in movie history. Depp plays Ichabod as only he could, with that awkward feeling spreading through every move that makes his characters appear more natural than rehearsed. The film is also layered with Burton's wacky tongue-in-cheek humour, which adds to the atmosphere. The stellar cast combined with dreamlike magic and chill of the haunted Western Woods, complimented by Danny Elfman's exceptional score, makes Sleepy Hollow a truly captivating and gripping piece of pure art.
